Struggling deciding which oil to use

Hi everyone as I am relatively new to this forum have only 125 miles on my new CT125 I am preparing for my first oil change on the bike
I profess I do not know much about oil and have become totally confused about the different types so please forgive me for my ignorance.
Generally would use the manufacturers recommended oil . But they do not include the UK, or the Island just off the UK I live on.
I have been told to use 10W-40 rather than 10W-30 for climate reasons etc.
I also found it is difficult to decide on which type of oil, mineral , semi synthetic or full synthetic oil.
In my very humble opinion I am leaning towards a good semi synthetic oil 10w -40 for the first and rest of oil changes.

What oil for very early first oil change?

Any MA rated oil of the right viscosity will work. Maybe not preferred but it will work and the bike will be fine.

I run a semi-synthetic oil by Castrol called Actevo. I think I'm running 10/40. I run it in my other bikes/ATV's and have never had any problems. I get mine on Amazon.

**points to signature** motorized wheelbarrows do not ask for much. As long as you don't use car oil I think you will be fine. Using full synth uber kindness blend will also work great. If you have other bikes that use the same viscosity oil, I'd just use that over buying something specific for the lil' Honda.

Thanks everyone, I have decided to go for Sikolene 10W-40 semi- synthetic oil . I have used it in my other bike Yamaha Serow 250 and has been fine and readily available. Have ordered a Gold Plug MP-01 and filters so when at 300 miles will do first oil change
