1. Rotate bar clamps forward
2. Rotate shifter up a tooth in front
3. Rotate kick starter back a tooth

(dang, thats a lot of rotation!)

Oh yeah, a small carabiner in the loops of the tool box, so if the most secure latch on the bike opens you don't lose anything!

Does removing Mods count?

When I bought my Trail it had a lot of Farkles the PO had installed. I removed most of them the first night I had the bike so I guess that was low-cost? Bonus that I was able to re-use some of the stuff on my other bikes and gave other items to members (one former member) of this site.

Don't get me wrong, I like modding things...pretty much everything I own I've added my own touch to...but sometimes I've found that 'less is more'.

I went ahead and did this as well last night with some Gorilla electrical tape, so much easier to get it out now.

I do it for all of my AA and AAA battery compartments in remotes, etc. as well wherever I can (and fire alarms). Used to be really commonplace to have a little ribbon. Nowadays I swear they expect you to just beat it like it owes you money.
