Just picked up the bike today and noticed the the rear tire is narrow (P50) than the front (P44). Its been so manny decades since I had a tube tire I am still assuming they will use
the same size Tube as both tires are 80/90-17?

The stock IRC GP-5 tires are the same size front and rear 80/90-17, the rear tire just has a higher load rating than the front. The same tube is used front and rear.

The stock tubes are IRC #T20049, the Honda part number is 42712-K2E-T02

You can also run any aftermarket tube sized appropriately for the tire that you're running, with a TR-4 or TR-6 centered valve stem. I am running BikeMaster Performance Motorcycle Tubes size 2.75-3.00x17 in IRC TR-1 2.75-17 block pattern trials tires front and rear.

How do you like the IRC’s on the road?

For road use the stock IRC tires were great, only complaint would be that their wear life is less than what I would expect to get out of a street tire, but they're not a street tire, they're a dual-sport tire.
Off road the front tire kept washing out on loose terrain for me, so I switched to knobbies.

Edit: Realized you probably were asking about the IRC TR-1 tires, doh!
They aren't very oversize tires so the bike does fine getting up to speed with them. There's noticeably less traction with them on the street, front ABS still works though. For deep rain grooved roads (common in CO, much different than the ones in CA) they are absolutely awful because the tires ride in the grooves - same issue for most knobby tires on small bikes. And the wear life is certainly not as good as the stock tires. I think they're a good bit firmer than the Shinko SR241s so should last longer on the street, but other than a few longer distance rides my Honda Trail has seen more gravel and dirt roads than it has paved ones so the street performance trade offs are totally acceptable for me. The IRC TR-1s are also decent in snow and my Honda Trail gets ridden in snow (and ice).
