Had the magnetic plug from zero miles and at first oil change it looked like this! Since then there has been NO contaminant so I put it down to initial manufacturing swarf that would have wound up in the spinner. Honda has built millions of these engines and as far as I know not one has has suffered long term damage - wish I had not wasted my money listening to the doom merchants but guess I was just one of the “worried well”

I just ordered the MP-01 Gold Plug. I'll just put a little red bow on the package - and put it under the tree with the mirror extensions.
