Will op for something less aggressive.
Was hoping not to change rims. Thank you.
IMG_9823.jpegMy wife and I each have a CT125. After the GP-5's wore down I wanted something more aggressive but still good for street riding. I researched quite a bit and found many riders saying that the Shinko 241's were a good all around tire but that they wore too quickly in combined trail/street use. Many CT125 riders spoke highly of the Shinko 244's as being the best all around tire. I ended up putting sets of 244's on both bikes. (2.50/front & 3.00/rear) They're much better off road than the original GP-5's but are still smooth and relatively quiet on the street.

Nice bug, did you restore it?

It is unrestored aside from being resprayed over forty years ago. All parts are original except normal wear parts such as brakes, tires, etc.. We bought it from the grandson of the man who owned it for 50 years until his death in early 2018. It is driven year round on dry days. We average about 3K per year in it. I am the Historian for the Ohio Vintage Volkswagen Club. We have a lot of fun with our vintage Beetle.
