The 2022 Grom is getting a motor refresh, with notable improvements being 5 speed wider ratio transmission, higher compression with slightly more power, and a screw on oil filter. Sounds like the Grom is getting about 5 mph higher top speed. Hers to hoping these improvements come to the Trail125.

I might have to get another Grom. Unless it's $5000.

depends probably more on how many 4 speed transmissions and auto clutches they have on hand to burn through 1st. & what the main complaints are. I know, for a fact, that honda does look at the owner forums as a part of its research. Not like they are having problems selling trails in current configurations though. looks like even w the new motor, the super cub still gets the 4spd in 2022. so might be another year or 2, if ever. Grom buyers are notorious for hot rodding them (guilty as charged) so i think that market.. was just an inevitable change . aftermarket on the groms have offered cartridge filters and 5 speed upgrades for at least 5+ years. id bet you'd see improved tool kits, better gauges and possibly different rack configurations on the trail before anything else. maybe. seems to be whats popular in the NA market. oh, and hopefully a usb port factory installed.
