Built a wood basket for my Trail

Lol, I still have my hand tools, but use them as supporting tools and do the majority of the large material removal with machines. There a few lie Nielsen planes I'm still planning on buying in the future. I have no interest in owning a table saw though. They take up way too much space and are...

Built a wood basket for my Trail

I gotcha, probably a good idea especially with stuff bouncing around since I ride primarily off-road-ish. I'll have to order something since I don't have any that large.

Built a wood basket for my Trail

I assure you I only took pictures of the good angles lol. I don't consider myself a good woodworker, I think I got a little lucky with this. A number of years ago I was burning out on car/motorcycle projects and decided I was going to do some woodworking, but with hand tools. That lasted about 3...

Built a wood basket for my Trail

I had some rubber that I tried to put on, but since there's gaps in the mounting surface and the outside rails are pretty thin it want working well. I opted to just mount it straight to the rack. It was already scratched up a bit from hauling my wife's car battery to the store one day when her...

Built a wood basket for my Trail

Wanted a basket for my trail, but I have a long seat on it and couldn't find anything I liked. Decided to make one from some walnut. Still working on a bungee net that will fit nicely on the top of it, but wanted to post some pictures. It's solid walnut with tung oil finish.

    Dropped Screw...

I'll save you some future frustration. I couldn't find a replacement that was similar quality to the OEM anywhere. The guy at the local battery's plus bulbs gave me one he had which got me going again. Just make sure you get one with the cross in the head for using a Phillips screwdriver. Once I...

    Dropped Screw...

I dropped my battery terminal bolt in that same spot. At least that's where I assume it is. Took half the bike apart and finally said screw it and bought a replacement. Infuriating they left it open like that, but also sealed off so it doesn't come back out the bottom.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. More U-boat video. From Thailand.

Moderators still haven't approved my reply. Not sure what's going on.

You don't need to rebuild the engine unless it's damaged. If you dunk it under water turn off the engine immediately. If water fills the cylinder and you continue to let it run it will bend a connecting rod, or worse window the engine, since water won't compress like air. If you shut it off...

    Price Check

I just paid $4,784 out the door for a 2022 in Oklahoma. Tax, tag, and title is paid after the fact at the DMV and should run about $250. So about $5k ready to ride.

CT110 low range second gear vs 125 ist gear.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the RPM. Looking at the gear ratios of the CT90 and CT110 in second gear low range they are running a total reduction of 33.6:1. That's with their lower 3.722 primary, and the 3.0 final drive. The CT125 in first gear with a 13 front sprocket and 45 rear...

CT110 low range second gear vs 125 ist gear.

Do you have part numbers for the sprockets and chain you used? Just got my CT125 and and deeply disappointed at the torque it has in first gear as I mainly want to use it as a trail rig. Also, have you had a chance to run it up to top speed to see where it's comfortable cruising at with that...
