So on monday, I dropped my bike on the right side, on rough concrete. Bending the exhaust heat shield towards the back and bending the right side pedal where the hole for the rubber pad's bolt goes through. In lieu of this i (lazily) bent the exhaust guard out a little and took a scotch pad to it and painted it black with VHT very high temp matte black paint (you can see the misshap of the dent on the left at the end of the exhaust):
After that I took both rubber pads off since I don't want to replace the right-side peg since it's still structurally in tact, with some minor scuffing.
After doing the run to get the ceramic in the paint to harden, I prefer them off as it moves my feet into a more comfortable position. All in all, it just makes this bike a little more like a bike worth doing dumb stuff on, and to make sure you have the right surface to put the kickstand down on!
