    Rear tire and chain

I have over 3400 miles on RubiE and have adjusted my chain four times. Has anyone else had to replace their chain yet? Will inspect sprockets too. Oh, and I need a rear tire. I have been very happy with the stock tires but can't find any in Ohio? I'm on vacay and don't have much left on the...

    CT 125/trail Suspension upgrades

I just passed 3000 miles and having a blast! Most fun bike I have owned.

    CT 125/trail Suspension upgrades

Was thinking the same thing. Ohlin makes a set for this bike at $750 a pair. I have 3K+ on mine and I definitely want to upgrade suspension and Ohlins are legit, but damn--$750 for a $4k bike. Ahh, what the hell😭😭Love the bike! Her name is RubiE (Ruby)...

    Show me your Tail (bags)

Great idea. Will pick some up today. I have to mount the box to the plate and the plate to the rack. Ideally, I can figure out how to use the existing four threaded bolt holes in the rack. We'll see.

    Show me your Tail (bags)

I decided to re-use an old Jesse Luggage top case off of my GS. It has many miles/smiles on it and all the stickers to prove it! Now I just need to figure out how to mount the box to an old cargo plate I have. I'm thinking about using spacers or some type of rubber membrane to protect the rack...

Ordered a M3 Mototote. Thank you for the info. I also purchased the tire strap tie down. I think that will work nicely for a 3200 miles road trip.

    Gas Mileage

I'm getting about 100 miles per tank or until the gas indicator starts flashing. I'm 5'9" and 185. 200 with gear. Mostly road riding for break-in and I have been varying the throttle and hitting as much elevation as I can find around me. I have about 250 miles on Ruby. Going to try to ride...

TomTom GPS Mounted on Motoskill Rack Bar

That's the perfect location. Handle is a little to close for me.

I love this setup. I would like to hang a large-mouthed, spring-closed bag for stuff.

Tony, I just installed my bracket like your third pic, and was just about to order the Rotopax bracket and one gallon can. After looking at the dimensions of the one gallon can, it's clear that a bracket needs to be offsets the can can clear the bottom of the rack. Where did you get the plate...

    2021 SCBR

Yeah, same here. I'll have what I need to patch a tire, a tool roll, zip ties, duct tape. Worst case scenario for this ride would be waiting a few hours for wife to rescue me. That's a good place to be in for a ride this long. Gonna be epic!

    2021 SCBR

I would definitely like to document the ride. Just not sure how or with what. Open for suggestions. I'm comtemplating a GoPro but my experience watching other people operate on a ride was not promising. Dead batteries and not knowing if they were filming or not, uploading vidoes everynight...

    2021 SCBR

I'm thinking tools for a tire change should be all I need. What say you? I can't think of anything else that could go wrong with a bike this new? I am going to put a tool pouch together with a couple of allen wrenches. So far, 5mm is all I have found that I may need, and I would probably get...

    Alternator/Stator Output?

I have a 20 year old Gerbing heated jacket that I was going to use, but I think I may have found a substitute that draws ZERO watts: https://www.gerbing.com/gerbing-7v-mens-base-layer-shirt It's a battery powered base layer. Gonna give it a shot. I'm riding Ruby from Bar Harbor, Maine to...

    Alternator/Stator Output?

Tony, did you use a wiring diagram to find the 12V trigger source in the headlight housing? Or is it obvious? I like the voltmeter aux pwr socket. If I attempt to use my 20 year old Gerbing on a test ride, it should tell me if/when my battery is draining. At least that's the plan. Someone posted...
