Sold For Sale in Portsmouth, Virginia

Less than 300 miles. I have installed the OPMID dash, front rack, muffler guard, magnetic drain plug and temperature reading dip stick. I also have a new set of tires (not installed). $4700.

For Sale 2021 CT125 Trail Greenville SC

Just saw an ad for one priced at $7,700. If GoAZ is lame then this new one is absurd.

    Fuel Filter?

There is an O ring as well as a lipped seal. Service manual says to replace both.

For Sale 2021 CT125 Trail Greenville SC

I'm not sure what we accomplish by comparing OTD prices. Mine was about $400 higher due to local taxes and license fees. When my bike went out the door it was with a license and registration...ready to ride.

    Fuel Filter?

Per the service manual (section 2-2 through 2-5) there is a fuel filter attached to the fuel pump inside the gas tank. This filter is on the suction side. If the filter gets clogged the bike will stop running and that is the indication that the filter must be changed. No kidding, that's what...

    Windscreen for the CT125

I saw an interesting windscreen on BeezDeals (https://beezdeals.com/product/motolordd-windshield-honda-ct125-trail-125-monkey-125/), ordered it and just finished installing it. First, it only took a few days...less than a week...for it to arrive. There were no instructions but, hey, how hard...

    Hitch Carrier

I'd recommend going with an aluminum carrier. Steel will be cheaper but heavier. The weight difference is something you'll appreciate every time you go to install the carrier on your vehicle. Discount Ramps has good options https://www.discountramps.com/motorcycle-carrier/p/AMC-400L/

    OPMID Tac/Speedo/Gear Indicator

IMHO, it's the best mod I have made to my CT125. Take a look at the video. You'll see that this is pretty much a plug n play, you just have to pull a couple plastic bits as well as the headlight bucket. Nothing to cut, solder, or fabricate. The only thing I'd want changed is to get rid of...

    Shift support installed

For me, it was all about seeing how much money I can throw at the LRD. Oh, and a bit more support for when (not if) the bike takes a serious dirt nap on the left side. That shift shaft is unsupported for about 3" when it comes out of the case.

    Where in VA?

    Shift support installed

The bushing had a very slight taper...only a couple thou difference end to end. I opened it up on the lathe to be the same ID all the way through. Then it fit snugly.

    Lowering?

Hey, Kudzu....whatever brings a smile to your face is worth what it cost. Seriously, motorcycles generally are not kind to vertically challenged people. If your solution looks odd to someone, who cares! It's your life to enjoy. As I age I'm down sizing so you'll see me on a pint size machine...

    Shift support installed

Yes, the HR part has roller bearings on a sleeve that is bored out to be a tight fit on the shift shaft. The sleeve has a lip on one side and is removable. I called HR to talk about my issue before I started removing metal. They told me that they have sold 3,000 of these kits for Groms...

    Lowering?

The Trail has 17" wheels. The next common size down would be 16" and that would only give you 1/2" of lowering. Another thought is to raise the fork sliders up beyond the top of the tripple clamp. One caution, this will change the steering geometry a lot and also reduce the clearance between...

    Shift support installed

My shifter shaft had a tiny lip about 1/2 way down. I could feel it with my fingernail but just barely. The HardRacing part has a tight clearance, maybe just a couple thousandths of an inch ('thou'). Rather than pound the support bushing onto the shaft I opened it up about .002" and it fit...
