Hello, I am new to this awesome forum my 2023 ct 125 is used mainly for trail riding to fly fishing spots in Alberta, Canada. The gearing is too high for most trails, I tried to purchase a 13 tooth at one of our dealers they said a 13 is unavailable at this time only the stock 14. Does anyone know where to order a 13 for a 2023? The dealer tried to cross reference a 2022 and said the numbers didn’t match, could be due to a different motor for 2023?
Thanks Brian

Ebay has become my go to source so far in my search for add on's. I did see several 13 tooth sprockets as well as combo set that included a 39 tooth rear as well. Go to the motorcycle section and enter the Honda CT 125 and there are many pages of goodies for the CT. So far the shipping has gone really well too.

Thanks for the great info it is kind of what I thought, the dealer said that most aftermarket part suppliers follow new model parts and accessories about a year after they arrive, I will check out JT

If you have a set of calipers one thing you can do in the meantime is to take the old countersprocket off and measure it, and see if anything in the JT catalog matches it. For the JA55 engine model, this is an example of what you find in the catalog. If you sent this to JT Sprockets, I bet they could tell you if something fit, or you could manually go through their website and see if anything does. All of their countersprockets have specifications like this.

As of a month or so ago, there is not a 13T sprocket available for the 2023 model, at least here in Thailand where the CT is made. The 13T front sprocket for the DAX, which the CT shares a number of engine parts with, does not fit. Also note that the shape of the splines on the countershaft are different then on the 2022 models.

Something to look out for with sprockets meant for the other Honda mini motos is that the Honda Trail uses a #428 chain and sprockets while the other mini motos may use narrower #420 components.
The Honda USA website currently incorrectly lists a #420 chain for the CT125s under the drive train specifications and in the PDF brochure, but the manual lists a #428 part number, the parts fiche lists a #428 part number, and the OEM chain's outer plates were literally stamped DID 428 (at least on my 2021 model). Very mixed up info and more reason to take @SneakyDingo 's approach of measuring the sprocket yourself first hand to know what you're starting with.
