The new sprocket in rear is 3 tooth smaller. Same as changing from 14 to 13 tooth in front. Don't admit a mistake till you sell existing inventory is the mantra for sales.

I was excited for a minute. My dyslexia, article I read stated ,and for better off road performance, the Trail has 3 additional teeth on rear sprocket than the Cub.
You don't need the new engine. Just put a 13 tooth front sprocket on the one you have. The 2023 also has a new engine that certainly results in a slightly different dyno report, so comparing gearing isn't apples to apples between the JA55 and the new 2023 JA65.
You will get same speeds or better, and better performance with a 13th tooth front sprocket. Break it in before you do. Use Castrol JASO 4-T 230 W-50 W. Change it a couple times first hundred miles after using original break in procedures again. If you are nice to them when they are Ponies, They want to RUN when you mount em,and they seem to like/love it!As I only weigh 135 in the buff I think I am getting more performance on the road than the average owner. Mine seems to beg for a 5th gear. It begs for a low range in the woods though.
It's almost like the engineers tried to balance the gearing out for the best performance for the average rider under average conditions. If you're maxxing out the revs of the bike, you won't get better speeds. I went from 54 mph max speed to 51 mph with the 13T mod (7500 RPM on the OPMID), but as expected the responsiveness changes.
You might also be tempted to put a 15T on; others have done it, it will fit the bike without any modifications, it does not improve top speed on the bike without any engine modifications. There's plenty of videos that state it's actually slower than the 14T due to overgearing.
Mine will go 60 mph on straight semi flat roads, without over revving. Cannot with the 14 tooth. If you're maxxing out the revs of the bike, you won't get better speeds. I went from 54 mph max speed to 51 mph with the 13T mod (7500 RPM on the OPMID), but as expected the responsiveness changes.

I doubt they ever put their ass on the seat. It's almost like the engineers tried to balance the gearing out for the best performance for the average rider under average conditions.

It goes that fast. I put YUMINASHI 143cc kit with a 238 cam. $ 256.00 delivered. Exhaust to head without choke down from head.(webike) 300 bucks, injector from 150 Honda ADV scooter,50 bucks, KN type filter, slight mod to airbox 70 bucks. Some forum member nearby can contact me,I will let them video/testify. 800 plus miles on mods, over 4500 miles on bike.
