FWIW The same aftermarket seat I have on my 2021 has also been fitted to a 2023 and fit. I haven't personally tried an OEM 2023 seat on my 2021 though, but I doubt it would fit different. The seat itself has been revised and updated in part number since 2021, but that's normal and could be any minor change that isn't related to the seat pan fitment.

Seat that didn’t fit was from CRF, on a different CRF.
Talked to Honda today, young man answered phone.
Asked him about seat. He said I can find that for you, no problem.
Told him part numbers were different as I thought that is what he was looking up.
He said, “If the part #s are different it won’t fit
Told him part # may have changed because of many things, even color, any change at all.
He said they don’t have any mechanics where he is at so go to a dealer.
