I wonder if they updated the firmware in the ecu relative to the ABS. Second time over 40 miles with the 13T 39T combo and no ABS light.

I understand that but id you research sprockets on this site you will see that anyone that has swapped out the front sprocket from 14t to 13t says the ABS light comes on within 10 miles. Not so with my trail. I really don't care if I have ABS or not but would be curios to know that if the light is not on, is my ABS active.

I do a quick brake test or two before heading off on any ride. On a paved surface if you pull the front brake beyond a healthy progressive squeeze and do a harder panic brake, you will know the ABS is working and feel the pulsating. Not telling you to do that, just saying it is easy to test. The ABS light does not come on when ABS is engaging, I think the only time that light comes on is when there's a fault in the system. Not everyone with 13T front have reported that it faults the ABS and brings the sensor on, it seems to be right on the verge of what triggers a fault. There are two speed sensors on the bike, one at the front wheel on the fork that measures speed there, one in in the crankcase right above the countershaft that the front sprocket mounts to. When you change the gearing it creates a discrepancy between these two speeds which is what would cause the ABS fault.

Great information! Thanks Man.
