I just took the lift off. Im not planning on running anything bigger than the Shinko 244 in a 2.5 on the front. I think that will fit without a re-drill. Looking at redrilling the holes it looks like it can only give about 1/4 inch more and Im tired of messing with the fender LOL.

View attachment 4949After looking at this again. I don’t think it can be trimmed any more than 1/4 of an inch or so. The bottom of the fender will prevent you from mounting if the lift kit is much shorter.
Looking at your pic I think you might have it wrong, the bracket would mount to the forks and the the fender would mount to the top holes creating the needed clearance? Looks like the bracket is upside down? I may be wrong, check out warro video on it.

I've been talking to my wife about going on this adventure. She doesn't ride, but she says that she can drive our Jeep Gladiator pickup so we can use it as a sag wagon, maybe some of your gear, maybe some extra fuel, and if anyone really did get hurt, and couldn't ride, she could get them to the nearest medical help as soon as possible. What does everyone think?

It wouldn’t bother me to have a chase vehicle with the group. Since I am one of the Johnny Come Lately’s to the trip I’ll leave it up to everyone else to decide. But I say the more the merrier.
With all that said I want this trip to be tough but not hard if that makes sense. I want to test me and the bike. That is one reason why I want to camp the majority of the time. I want to carry my own gear as much as possible. I want to have fun, make memories, see sights and cuss a little here and there about how tough something was after we tackle it.

I've said from the beginning that every one is welcome, Sneakydingo has been nominated as the coordinator for the group and has been invaluable with his planning and logistics support so I will defer to his wisdom on this as a group, that being said as an individual I have no objections. We are all adults here and should act accordingly.

I just upgraded to Gaia Premium though the Outside+ app. Now I will need to learn what all the Gaia App can do and how to download maps for the trip out and back. Im trying to get my little Samsung Tablet set up as my bike mounted GPS. If I cant get it to work I have my phone and a spare rugged cell phone that I used on my DR650.

Update.
As it stands for now the riders who are joining the group for the cdt who need bike work or shipping the bikes are planning on meeting at the Honda dealership in El Paso on or about the 1st of June, then traveling to Antelope Wells to start on the 2nd or 3rd. Anyone who doesn't need bike work can coordinate with the group from Deming NM or any other location to meet at the Antelope Wells start. Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in riding along, if you need further info please contact myself or Sneakydingo. Also interest in spending extra time riding in Yellowstone and glacier NP has been discussed.

Ends up the "easy" route for section 7 goes straight through Yellowstone and is recommended. So there's no need to detour that section; the only thing is we might take a short mileage day that day.

The route only takes you thru a quarter of Yellowstone, if we take a full day we can do the whole loop including mammoth springs and the Lamar valley. That will give you the basic Yellowstone tour.

I bought the Revelation Front Rack from Beezdeals. I think my Nelson Rigg fuel bottle carriers will mount to it and then be able to strap down. If Im right or if I can make that work I'll drop the Rotopax and mount. Carrying 2-30oz bottles of fuel should make it to any of the fuel stops and save some weight from the bike. I think I might be able to mount my tent or maybe my food bag on the rack as well and that will help free up room in my luggage.

I want to try to be as ultralight as I can so that I dont bog down an already small bike. If I can limit the weight I throw on it and maybe drop a few pounds myself before the trip I think it will really help the little 125.

I just upgraded to gaia pro also, we can share updates as well, I like the track option to be able to view our ride when we finish

3141EB05-6B76-4029-9014-739696BD03F5.jpegI got my RAM Mount and my Galaxy hooked up. I’m still waiting on my screen protector and the hardened case for the Galaxy but I think the tablet looks and fits really good.

You appear to have a movie theater on your handlebars  That's certainly an easy to see navigation setup!
Just a heads up, if that tablet has a camera with sensors for image stabilization, they can be damaged by harsh vibrations if the mount doesn't have a damper.

This is just an old Samsung Tablet we dont use anymore. I have a hard case and screen protector coming to help protect it. Im not worried about the camera since we never take pics with it. If the tablet dont hold up to the trip then I can always just toss it when we get to a town. I can use the RAM mount for a Go Pro.
