If that occurred on a public road, it may be worth looking into if you can file a claim for property damage reimbursement. Took a long wait both times, but I've been reimbursed twice by the City of Chicago for pothole damaged wheels.

I ordered an aluminum rim and the xr100r spokes. The rim will work from the xr just stock ones are steel. I run these rural north Alabama back roads on my commute to work and had the same problem as you. I just upgraded for more sidewall. Stock Honda replacement is about the same cost as parts from partzilla I believe. The stock replacement is the whole rim spokes and hub altogether and probably pretty true already. I bought a harbor freight truing stand and did mine myself got 300 miles on it now and no problems.

Any interest in a pair of aluminum rims, 17x1.85 for the front & 17 x 2.15 rear? Thinking about ordering and talked to KSR wheels about lacing to the stock hubs. If the stock spokes are the correct length it's just labor, won't know until they try. Would be less than $200 in labor and double if they have to order spokes. Should save a couple of pounds of rotating mass going to aluminum, will improve acceleration, braking and cornering.
