I’ve had several positive comments, no real hate, and one experience I’d like to share: I work at McDonald’s, and I was in the first drive-through window when a couple of guys stopped to pay. One gentleman asked “Is that your scooter in the parking lot?” (Affirmative response). “Somebody just went over and knocked it down.” (Alarmed response). They drove past me to pick up their food. I looked over at the security camera that covers the parking lot, the precious donkey was standing there fine. I hustled down to the second drive-through window before they got their food, thanked them, and let them know that I would be assembling their order personally (a lie), and that they might want to check it twice. Moral: don’t mess with the donkey of the drive-through guy, not even in jest. 😁.

Strange the differences.
I've been on 2 wheels for about 40yrs and I've mentioned to the wife , I get more respect from the cagers on THIS CT then a full blow dresser.
I joke it must be because they are afraid to hurt the poor retard on the moped.
Now the hate I got , had nothing to do with speed , being in the way or anything of the sort.
Just the sight of me and/or the bike had angered the big mouth that when I turned up another street he slowed enough at the intersection to stick his head out the window and make all sorts of assumptions about my sexual orientation.
Back in the day , this was how cowards got their rocks off before facebook and the internet came along.

No hate in4600 miles this year. I do pull over when I can't keep posted speed and let them go by. Nothing but likes and curiosity everywhere. But I've always been drawn to odd things anyway. Had a 82 xv920rj I bought new leftover in 86. Friends told me about a $1600 dollar leftover bike at the dealer, but said it was real goofy looking. I saw it and it was the coolest bike ever. Bought it and rode it 93,000 miles over the next decade.

Never gotten comments/questions about boots, but I used to wear an Aerostich Roadcrafter, even in the middle of summer. Occasionally, people would ask me why the fire fighter suit? I'd answer, "Guess it's because I'm stupid -- too dumb to know exactly when I'm going to crash, so I just wear it all the time".
