Been riding this thing for close to a year, and haven't found anyone local who also rides one. Anyone on here in Sacramento/Roseville/Auburn Area?

I'm in Santa Cruz and visit my parents and friends back home in Placerville often. Haven't brought the CT yet as I've only owned it for about two months but I haven't seen any other 125s anywhere yet.

About where in town are you?

Sadly I just made the decision to sell mine yesterday. Not because I don't like the bike, but for financial reasons. I'll be in and out of town the next few weeks but I wouldn't mind meeting up and going for a ride if timing syncs up. I'll PM you my number.

Man, I wish. I’m looking for one here in the SF east bay and I’ve just about given up. Every place I call in the region has a waiting list that’s over 2 years long and doesn’t expect any new stock this model year. 😭

Thanks for the suggestion! Any idea what their OTD price is like?
Get ready for the flaming because in California we tend to have to pay more than other areas of the country. That being said though- I bought mine in August. The closest shop to me is in Concord. They wanted $7192 OTD. I almost jumped at it because there was no supply then, but I knew they were too high. I persevered and took a chance on an outfit I had never heard of before and called Parriott Motors. Great outfit with very personal service. I paid $5995 OTD with Parriott and I will drive the extra distance to them if I ever need another bike, or service I can trust, in the future.

Oof, so cheaper than a lot of other CA dealerships but still like $1.5k in “hot new bike fees”? I guess that explains why they’ve still got one in stock… I’ll probably still call them anyway since it’s either pay that or wait 6-12+ months to try to pick one up on the used market. I can pay it, it just sucks because it’ll eat into my accessories budget a lot.

The local shop here in Berkeley apparently doesn’t tack that on which is why their waiting list is so long. They were trying to get me to look at a Super Cub, which is probably more appropriate for my commute, but I just don’t like all that fake retro styling and body plastic.

Quick question — My main use for the 125 would be a daily Richmond-to-Oakland commute where I’ve got to park in an underground garage when I get to my destination. I’ve ridden most of those streets on a Ruckus so I know the Trail 125 will handle those like a champ, but do you think I’ll have a problem with the inclines going up and down floors in the parking garage? I wanna hit trails on the weekends and stuff too, but I’ve got kids so I know it’s going to be used as a commuter 90% of the time.

"If my unfit ass could ride a bicycle up the incline, the Trail will generally handle it in 1st gear" is a good way to think of it. The only problem I would see you having is if you're trying to use the stairs instead of the parking ramp. I don't know how they do parking ramps in Sacramento, but in Seattle they use raked concrete (concrete poured flat, then with grooves added by a rake that run across it), and I can easily make it up those in 2nd gear.
