I had the BEST Motorcycle Dealership when buying a new Honda Trail/Streetbike. I had contacted numerous Dealers and said;

1) I'm a CASH Buyer;

2) I want a New Honda Z125

3) I DON'T want to pay ANY 'Dealer Inflated Fees."

All the Dealers in Phoenix and Prescott attempted to stick me with $1,200 to $1,800 in Dealer Inflated fees.

Finally I called MUSSELMAN'S HONDA in Tucson, AZ. The first person who answered the phone took my request and said; "Give me 5 minutes, and I'll call you right back with the Out the Door Price."

5 minutes later Mark gave me the exact OTD Price I wanted, nothing like the other 98% of the Arizona Dealers who tried to bend me over.

1 hour later, after I had a payment sent to him we finished the Deal.

What a difference in Customer Service and attention to detail I had received by Musselman's vs the other Arizona Honda Dealerships. I later learned that the Man who answered my first call to Mussleman's was the OWNER, how many Owners today ever get involved in New Customer Sales and Service? I was very impressed.

Here's the backstory about Mussleman's Honda;

Musselman's Honda was the first Motorcycle Dealership in the USA to be allowed into the Honda Motorcycle Dealership Program in 1945. Helen and Darvin Messelmam were both Dirt Bike competitor and were very successful in the local Dirt Bike Competitions. In 1945 it was a rarity to have a Woman Dirt Bike Competitor, much less a Motorcycle Saleswomen. She would surprise new clients with her extensive mechanical knowledge of Dirt Bie Racing and Repair. Both Musselmans worked hard to build a very successfully, Customer Service Oriented Business. Today the Musselman's Dealership is run by the 3rd Generation of the Musselman's Relatives. Mark is the General Manager.

I will travel 250 miles from my home to give Musselman's Honda my repeat business.

Btw, they have a local Cycle Towing Service that provides Door to Dorry Towing and Delivery service for a fee.

Z125 is a nickname for the Monkey since historically the Monkey bikes have been their Z series and the new one is 125cc. I don't think Honda officially use a "Z125" designation in any capacity, it's just "Monkey" or "Monkey ABS". They probably don't want it confused with the Kawasaki Z125 for a multitude of reasons, especially since they once had to rename their "Super Cub" model in the USA due to the Piper PA-18 Super Cub already having that trademarked model name.

Helen passed a few years back but here's a nice video Honda put together of her telling the history of Musselman's Honda shop:

EDIT:
I was wrong about Z125 not being officially used. Though the "Commercial Model Name" is Monkey, the model name is in fact Z125MA. Other than using this in official documents, it does seem like Honda might be making an effort to conceal that model name though because right now there are no matches for it searching within powersports.honda.com

They don’t call them “Stealerships” for nothing, none of them are you friend, and you’re getting a good deal on a Monkey because nobody is buying them.

99% of the time your right about dealerships, motorcycle or car. I've found one in stormlakehonda.com that has been excellent. I am in no way affiliated with them. I've bought 6 vehicles from them since 2022 and they have never charged me above msrp and a couple times they didn't change shipping or setup fee. Admittedly your experience may vary but I've got nothing but good things to say about Jeff and the crew at stormlakehonda.com. I bought my wife's honda rancher and rented a trailer to haul it to Deming and still saved 2 thousand dollars over what las cruces dealership wanted.

agreed, some are ok. Gen3 in Florence won my business over the 3 that are close, one being less than 2 miles from my house. I mean, they have to make some profit, its a business. I'm ok w them making 3-500 per deal. that's reasonable IMHO. But i wont tolerate being lied to. fwiw, that dealership i bought my XR from (Gen3) got all my new bike purchase business from here out, and my friends, which included a cash sale 23 H2 2 weeks later. Its a 5 hour round trip. fuck it. the local place was good until it changed hands, i had bought about 7 new bikes from there and had brought in at least 5 other people to buy over the years. they pulled that shit last time and i flat out told them id never by a bike from then until it was under new ownership. (and a few other instances prior) Nor any or my friends will deal w them anymore either.

Seems like a lot of places are still clinging to the covid days of charging whatever they want. Those days are over and the non-gouging dealers are going to leave them behind.

problem is a lot are owned by 'groups' and corner the market as most aren't willing to actually drive to buy/shop. I'll kick tires at the local place but buy elsewhere. I do get some parts there, occasionally, oil, etc. but that's it.

to give you an idea how much i USED to frequent them, I get a 30% discount in the parts dept. I'm being dead serious.

Great Family! I worked for Don back in college, one of the oldest Kawasaki dealers in the nation. He added Yamaha in the 80's and bought the Honda/Polaris dealership years ago. I can't say enough good things about them. We've long left the area but still visit when we're in the area. Some of the guys in the shop have been there for over 20 years, Don knows how to treat employees & customers. Don's father started the Kawasaki business and Don went to work for him upon leaving the military. I have the utmost respect for him and consider him a role model for a business owner. They are on the 4th generation of family being involved in the business.

Agreed. I was actually referred to them by my local guy, Chuck Shirley. Not sure if you know him but he runs a shop here in Rockhill, SC and was also there. Same work ethic & integrity.

It's a small world. Wish our local dealer was half of what these guys were, instead it runs like a car dealership, much different than a motorcycle shop.

I am really eyeing the Ibex 450.

They have a lot of tech that I like. I was going to get a Honda NC750X, but this bike has more tech, and even with luggage, it’s still cheaper than the bare Honda. I’m a Honda guy, too. I really like the Ride By Wire and electronic cruise control. This will be my touring bike.

Scratching my head.....? Why on earth would anyone really want these Chinese bikes? They are cheaper to buy but that is the end of any charm they have. Spotty reliability, even glowing reviews seem to indicate 20000 miles as the practical life of these bikes and getting there will likely involve repairs.....a lot of them. The support for these bikes is not in the same universe let a lone solar system as the Japanese or European offerings. Some people report their regular insurance company will not insure them. Then when you decide you miss the dependable service of Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda good luck finding a sucker willing to give you much money. They are not all that cheap anymore. For the same money or less just buy a good used Japanese bike and ride.
