Wiring in a garmin zumo and after reaching the battery “compartment” was saddened to find only a small harness acting as a fuse box, with no aux spot. Anyone have any creative ideas for wiring in the garmin without hacking the wiring to pieces???

I wired my Garmin Zumo XT to the diagnostic plug that sits above the battery which is switched on with the ignition. Be aware that the connector type of that plug changed between the JA55 (2021-2022) and JA65 (2023) models. Mine is a JA55 and uses the 4 pin connector.
You could also install one of the USB accessory power kits, and tap that rather than the OEM wiring harness to power your Garmin.
Thanks a million……mine is the 2023 and i like the sound of a “plug and play” style of wiring. Pardon my ignorance but would you by chance have a part number or point me in the right direction where i could possibly find that plug connector?

I don't have a 2023 for reference, but it should be the same ISO 19689 6-pin diagnostic plug as other Euro5 motorcycles, but with only 4 wires going to it on the Honda. If so, MWTPB-06-1A-R would be the male connector that you would need to plug into the female connector that is dust-capped above the battery. Note that part number is only for the male connector and not the pins or seals needed to complete the plug assembly. You should be able to look at that connector and what's on your bike to make an educated decision on if they match before buying one. Assuming it is a match, you can search that connector part number and find many sources for it. I would recommend buying pre-crimped to make it easier on yourself. There are tons of options on AliExpress that ship from China, but personally I would probably buy this one out of convenience to use as a donor to cut and splice:

I have a similar one that I use with an OBD2 scanner on my Moto Guzzi V7 Euro5 model:

You are the man….thank you so much Dmonkey! Being new to this world is certainly a handicap when it comes to wiring. I refuse to hacking anything wiring related on equipment and was stumped when there was not an aux slot on the “mini” fuse box. Thanks again!
