Honda should just repower this thing to a 150... it's mostly grown adults riding these from what I can tell. The younger crowd are picking a different configuration like a Grom.
Japan categorizes motorcycles based on engine displacement, so going above 125cc makes it a more expensive vehicle to register and insure there. If Honda made the bike 150cc it would shift which countries they are really prioritizing the vehicle for, and 150cc motorcycle sales in the USA might not stack up next to what they can sell as 125cc in Japan. It would still be a small displacement motorcycle which is a niche in the USA.

Not sure where these photos were taken. It doesn't look like the inside of a Cub House, but it might feature a custom Takegawa CT125 with a big bore kit? The side decals also say Takegawa, so maybe it is a limited edition complete special. The term Hunter Cub is more popular in Japan and rarely used in Thailand. Maybe someone else has more details. It also has rear pegs, which makes me think Japan rather than Thailand.

Those pics are from SP Takegawa's "booth" at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2024 that just happened in Japan. I don't know if they also had one set up at the prior show in Okinawa.

I think the photos might also show the Takegawa hydro clutch installed as well.
