BDR-X on a Trail 125 and a Monkey

Ny brother in law and I met up in South Dakota mid Sept for the BDR-X loop. He was on a Monkey and I was on my 2023 Trail. My off road riding experience has been pretty much nil since I had a QA-50 as a kid, so despite some MTB experience I felt a bit under prepared. A week or so before the trip I did get in a few loops at a nearby trail system which certainly helped me get ready. The BDR-X loop was fantastic, all manner of off road surfaces including some challenging rocky up and downhill sections and some water. The bikes performed flawlessly and we had an absolute blast on the trip. Finished in 4 days then trailered the bikes to the Badlands and rode a few additional hours along the scenic road there. All together we rode around 450 miles. Definitely looking forward to the next trip!
