works well, no bungees or modification to the actual bike needed.

I'm ordering this. Can't remember who told me where to buy them but I love them!

Anyhow, looking for suggestions before I head to the hardware store.

I'll drill a couple of holes in the top to attach a couple of bungee cords.

I used silicone window gaskets on the painted ct-125 rack then put some washers and bolts through a thin sheet of plywood holding down the basket.

4 nuts welded from the bottom of the rack from the factory! great for many options.

I've found the simplest solution to any problem is usually the best. Following that logic, my solution for mounting a box to the back of the LRD was to use four zip ties. Cheap, easy, quick, and easily removable with a knife or scissors if necessary. There are many attachment points on the large rack. The position I used allows access to all handles and tiedown spots. It also leaves some space behind the seat for stuffing items and scooching back in the saddle a little while riding. Happy trails to you.

Went large. Phase one is Milwaukee base plate, crate and wooden worktop. Phase two is tool box with crate on top. Carriage straps and bungee hook hardware locations to be determined. Waiting on tool boxes. Here is current configuration with possible Desert Fox reserve fuel bag(2) mounting locations. One on front/side of crate under top overhang and one on back/side of crate under top over hang for external mounting. They also fit inside crate on long sides. MRackCrate2.jpg

The Milwaukee pack-out tool boxes came yesterday. They are huge but snap right into the base plate and wooden work top snaps onto the top of it or the crate will too. Problem is it towers over you and you look like one of the Asian hot steamed meat bun food delivery guys if you put all three on. The picture is the tool boxes and wooden work top on my two bikes. I will take a picture of the total stack of the tool box, the crate and the worktop and post here later.

(OK the double stack picture is under the top picture.) Wind drag and possible top heavy depending on loading I don't see a use in this configuration unless I'm fleeing a zombie apocalypse and carrying ammo in the tool box and freeze dried food in the crate, even then it would be a challenge to take off road and I suspect you would lay it on its side pretty quick if you weren't careful? Still a nice system that lock all together. I can see me running the tool box and the wife the crate. Another nice feature is the color match.MRackToolbox.jpgMRackDoublestack.jpg

After picking the kid up at school the wald bike basket carried the kids lunch box, a 30 pack, and a box of wine for the wife. We keep it classy up here in the mountains! The fake grass is good for carrying the dog too!

how much stuff do you guys need to haul? :ROFLMAO: good grief those are huge.
Yes they are huge. Waterproof to a degree though with a gasket all the way around under the lid. The vertical bars are a good start for lashing down stuff on the sides. The wooden work top will get some bungee tie down/hook hardware and some carriage strap rings for real straps for tents and the such. The only minor problem is the lip of the wood top hits you in the small of the back or the shoulder blades depending on whether you use the tool box or crate if you sit to far back. Might be a good strapping place for a back rest to hang down from though. There are smaller tool boxes too. I ordered these cause they where the biggest. Too big maybe? They are pretty light though and have nice carrying handles. I see them being mainly used on camping trips up a trail where you need to carry a tent, sleeping bag, stove, food, water and some extra clothes.

FYI: milkcrates with a diamond pattern on the bottom did not line with with the rack bolt holes. I had to use a crate with a square pattern.

Collapsibile "Instacrate" for like $6 at Costco but I've seen it elsewhere like Amazon but a little more expensive. Then used the Allen wrench bolts I replaced when i installing my center rack - fit the 4 threaded holes on the back rack perfect. Lining up for the holes drilling in the case bottom was bit of a challenge, but i made a template for that in the end.
