Picked up big brother this morning. I put 51 road miles on him today. My CT110 was so jealous that for the first time in years it would not start. After replacing the spark plug to no avail, It seemed that the fuel level was very low. I summarized that maybe the float had dropped and was flooding the engine. I filled the tank of the 110 and banged on the carb to free up the float and thank you Jesus! Now I was able to compare my 40 year old 1982 CT110 with his big brother. The engine of the 125 is smoother. When I first took off on the 125 I was amazed how fast I was going in first gear at near idle. I would really like it to slow down in first gear. (13T sprocket in hand). I was impressed how easily it handled the hills on my ranch in 1st gear that are like 45 degrees. I find that if you get in the power band of this bike it is very strong. Much more powerful than the CT110 in high range. The fuel injectio9n and larger displacement is very obvious. The wind was blowing very strong today here, wind gusts up to 25 MPH. I took it pretty easy on the bike. I did at times when pushed by traffic for short spurts reach 50 mph. Gotta love the Trail 125!!!!!!!

A couple of more observations. After 51 miles my butt hurts. The seat on the CT110 is more cushioned. Maybe after 40 years the 125 will be also. The kick starter will have to be indexed back some. The ride is softer on the 125. The exhaust is quieter on the 125 even after I installed a new baffle in the 110 to try to reduce noice. ( great idea for riding on private property). Only have had the 125 for 8 hours so plenty more to come. Thank you for letting me be part of the group.
