I had welded a 2" washer to my kickstand for better support on soft ground. Yesterday afternoon I was out riding around and almost everyplace I stopped the ground was soft enough for it to start sinking in. I came home and dug around in my tractor's tool box and found a big 3" washer, so I whipped off the kickstand and welded it on, shot it with a little Krylon and put it back on the bike. It will surely help with that dreaded sinking feeling.

Forgive the dirt, I've been out having fun. There are no clearance issues with anything, when both stands are up there is 1/4 inch between the two at the closest point.

I've epoxied on a piece of 1/4" rubber about the same configuration as you have to my KTM500. It worked perfectly for 5 years until I sold it.

I hadn't thought about epoxie, That would make a simple way to do it if you don't have a welder handy. Good idea!
