I by no means have anything to complain about, but every year its a decision what bikes to bring. this year, going to be the lightweight RD, the TZR and probably the CB1100. So, if you're going to be in the area next week, I'll be staying at room 2.

Yup. Not really a link to an event as we hold it, not the powers that be. IF you can see the link, heres the best info i have.

yours truly from.. 2001, looking at my buddys blown up GT380. I told him to clean up that pilot jet. lol.

few yrs ago?

one of the 'blue triple rides' that's my old S2 up front, followed up by h2s, h1's, and an S3 400 in there somewhere. @ fontana dam. Only place ive ever seen 10+ ridden blue 72 H2s together at the same time, i need to find that picture, i think we had 12 or 15 lined up. .

only on the weekends for the most part. mon/tues/wed early Thursdays are great. after that its clown shoes. besides, we ride the surrounding areas more, but staying there, we can get out at like 630-7am and have the whole road to ourselves.

all loaded ready to go in am for a full week. since we have the whole hotel booked out and a lot of surrounding areas, will be a good gathering of people i've know for 25+ years, and some from wayyyyy across the country. we've even had kiwis, brits and canucks, 1 guy from Argentina one year, and a few have flown in from Germany in the past for this gathering. the 2 stroke vintage group tends to be kinda tight.

Can't wait to finish my H1B project, the guy I bought it from tore it down for a resto but never got around to it, I think I can handle that part, about to send my crank off for a rebuild, crank seals have cracked due to age.

I had a 73 like that until a few yrs ago, it screamed especially after i worked it over a bit, even more so than stock. most hp per cc of any triple, and hands down the worst fuel mileage, stock was 15-17. lol.

when i dynoed it, it put down 59 @ the rear wheel. sweet bike, i actually miss that one sometimes.

That's a nice running bike, I miss mine for sure, it was bone stock but I only weighted 130 pounds back then, I owned it up 2010 when it was stolen out of my barn, never found.

A little history about my Kawasaki life, in 1972 my dad opened a Kawasaki dealership in my hometown, I do bleed green but I like my lil Honda's also. I was 11 years old when the first H2 arrived at the store, when they assembled the bike and fired it up, I was a triple man for life. My dad took it home and made it his daily driver, wasn't long before it had Denco pipes(I think), Wiseco pistons, ported, rear sets, 3/4 fairing and drag bars, that bike was wicked, my dad would let me ride it at 12 years old, my mom would always trip out. 🤣 But in 1973, the ultimate arrived, Z-1 900, the king of superbikes, even to this day in my book, my dad had to have it, I remember the first thing that went on that bike was a 4 into 1 header. I remember we had it out one day and pulled the baffle, the business across the street came over and asked "what is that thing? it rattled our windows!". I remember my dad building that bike with a bunch of Yoshimura stuff, cams, pistons, smooth bores and whatever was available. When I was 16, he let me run it at the dragstrip, I remember running in the 10's that day, man was that bike fast, gone are the good ole days but I can still dream about it.

very cool. Ive had every kaw triple there is, but got sort of burned out on them, and def prefer my yamaha twins. Just better all around bikes.

I was born in 72 so they dont have any sentimental value, per-say as they do to most, but they are fun for sure. Ironically, i started on honda 750-4's. at leas ti have a CB1100 now, i am a bit sentimental on them for sure. full week at deals gap, I had the only one there, but saw 3 RG500s, a tz750 and a slew of RZ's. lol. even got to ride GT750 and a KR250 which was pretty neat. (tandem twin cyl rotary valve 2 stroke race replica).

The Deal gap trip is on my bucket list as soon as I get the H1 built, I do like the Yamaha twins, I had a fully tricked RD400, probably was one of my favorite bikes, it would bounce the tach needle and 3rd gear wheelies were no problem. I was thinking of that bike the other day when I ran across some parts in my shop, I'm don't remember what year it was but it had the mag rims. I would love to own a RZ350, but those days are about over. I never ride my 04 ZX10R anymore, it's almost scary to ride anymore because I still like to twist the throttle, 100mph in 1st gear.
