Black exhaust heat shields?

Anybody painted or thought about painting their heat shields black? Powder coating would be ideal. I think it would look way better. May be hard to keep looking good though.

powdercoating or cerakote would be your best bet. however, rattle can can be done as well. heres a whole thread

Heat Shield Paint Question

Getting ready to paint the heat shield. Looking to go with the brand Steel It, as it seems to have the strongest diy protection. Out of those who have painted the heat shield, did you do just the outside or inside aswell? pic for the click...

I went the other way w chrome shields from overseas, been very happy w it. the painted silver does look like crap IMHO.

I had one shop cerakote my exhaust along with the screws. It should hold up to heat better. Cost there was $60. I then had a different shop powder coat my skid plate. They changed $60 there also. I bet if I could have found one place that does both I could have saved some money.

Unbolt them from the skid plate and they pull right out.
