Hey All - I recently popped out my front and rear brake pads because I noticed some uneven rotor shine in the first 500 miles - Wanted to see if there was any debris stuck on the pads.

When reinstalling the rear pads, the rear caliper bracket pin is supposed to be torqued to 17 Nm, however it pretty much threads all the way in freely until it hits the end. At that point, I noticed the O-ring on the pin is sticking straight out the back side of the caliper bracket (basically sealing nothing). See below:

Is this normal? I forgot to inspect it before taking it out the first time. Can anyone check their rear caliper and let me know if I'm doing something wrong?

Just checked my wife's, it's brand new, the pin protrudes .115 in from casting where your arrow is. Looks pretty much the same.
