Hello I'm new to the forum. Just picked up my new 125. I've had numerous CT 90' s and 110' s for the past 57 years. In the past with my older bikes I was able to have another adult on a buddy seat. I see that the new carrier is rated at 44lbs. Is that for real or just a CYA statement from Honda to discourage riding double. What are your thoughts about 2 adults on a 125?

I've not personally tried it (yet) but I think the 45 LBS limit is a CYA statement from Honda. My plans are to add a rear seat and pegs to mine soon.

ive used one, my wife is about 125-135 lbs and its fine. you also need to add passenger pegs. Also, there are options for removing the stock rack, getting a different one that sits out further, and a full passenger seat as well. .02

i also take my SO out and its fine. We just go around neighborhoods or to the store mostly so nothing more than 15-30min. I got the big square Takegawa pillion seat. It's a comfy seat but the way it attaches isn't that robust and one of my connectors already broke.

How does it do two-up in terms of power and handling? What altitude are you riding at and what is your combined weight?

I'm using my 125 for all shopping and repair runs, so far have had about 180lbs on the back, with that being 100 pounds on the shelf and 20 pounds in each the left and right saddle bags. And about 30 pounds in piping on the front rack. As long as you keep it balanced, all is good. Still got up to about 48 on the straight aways at 3/4 throttle.

Does anyone have a suggestion for easy to install rear passenger foot pegs?
A few options in this thread:
The Revolution ones sound like an easy install based on the reviews, and they're not tied to the rear swingarm movement.

Thanks for this additional suggestion. Sounds like there are now some viable options out there in the market without having to deal with offshore suppliers!
