I have had my Trail 125 for just over a month now. In that time, I have gotten it out onto two sporting clays ranges (I transport the bike in the back of my Ridgeline to get to the ranges), have run a few errands for the wife (the dunkin donuts drive through was a hit with the guy working the window!) and several voyages out around the neighborhood. I had not really taken it on a “longish” ride where the bike and its rider could breathe a little – until today. 65 degrees and sunny made it a no-brainer to sneak out of the home office for a little run!

We are lucky in that we can go from suburbia to rural paradise just by crossing one 5 lane road about a half mile from the house. On the other side of the road are tons of 45 MPH roads with manageable traffic. I used to explore these roads on my Shadow before selling it a couple of years ago. One of my favorites rides was to head out to some small horse farms about 8 miles away. One farm had a bull that was enamored with my shadow. Whenever I would pass by his pasture, he would come running up to the fence looking like a giant puppy!

I had not been by that area since selling the shadow – so today was the day to go see if he was still around. Sadly, I did not see him, but really enjoyed the ride! Ended up putting 18 miles on the clock today – most of it between 35 and 45 MPH. Who knew tootling around at 40 MPH could be so much fun?!?!

Got the bike back into the garage and topped off the tank for the first time since bringing the bike home from the dealership using non-ethanol fuel.

I know this is not a very exciting read – but it sure was fun! I feel really fortunate to have a Trail 125 in the garage!

Sounds like you had a blast, I'm glad the weather is finally letting us get out there.

Any news of us riding is fun to read. Many are still waiting either to get theirs or for the weather to break.
