Hi all, there is a 145cc BBK upgraded, 2020 CT125 for sale near me in Bangkok and I am thinking of buying it. What should I be looking out for when inspecting the bike? The seller doesn't speak English and I don't speak Thai, so communication has been limited. Thanks. Also, what would be a fair price for this?

Personally I would reach out to your neighbourhood BBK evaluator …

Good idea. Do you know a BBK evaluator in BKK willing to help, I live in Sathon, near Lumphini MRT. TIA

‘fraid not. But watch a few more of Eddie’s videos as they have converted at least four CTs to 143cc. I would also contact him directly as you will find him a generous and helpful mine of information

could you ask the seller for an extended trial ride and take it to pre-arranged inspection at your nearest Cub House - I think there is one near Lumpini Park

TBH the engines and running gear are pretty rock solid and I am guessing the bike has probably only been ridden in an urban environment

It seems your question is more about sellers and prices. Be aware I recently went through a song and dance with a seller in BKK twice. The first time after many questions re reg'd owner, mods, etc he marked it as sold. 3 weeks later it was up again and we went through the same but details changed, including that he denied certain mods but then admnitted to have placed a clutch which he denied previously.

I'm buying new. Too many scams happening here, some people say.
