Can you comm... if you can't, no one told me. In some ways it's the perfect commuter. Highway speeds aren't highway speeds during peak hour traffic, but you might run into speed trouble with HOV lanes.

of course it all depends on your commute, mostly Mine is 12.5 miles each way, half thru town, half in the countryside. no issues. on the rare occasion i do take the highway, i usually take the cb1100 or tzr or t500, the ct would never be an option when I go that way, but my commute is the primary reason i got the ct in the 1st place :) .

My commute is only a very easy 6.5 miles with a max speed limit of 40MPH, so I am in good shape. I actually did it for the first time yesterday and it was, well- fun! Luckily I have a truck supplied by my job, so bringing the bike in will not be the norm.

I don't have a big commute at all and can take a back route on 35-40 posted limit roads, but we all know people don't drive to those limits and will climb up my ass, especially on some of the hills.
There's one stretch of highway I take that's posted 45mph but nobody ever ever abides by it.
If I ride the same back route on a bigger bike I might not choose to go any quicker but cars tend to give more leeway to the bigger bike, go figure 🤷🏻‍♂️
I've commuted most of the summer on a bike and it's invariably been on an adventure tourer. Just a lil more poke outta the Trail would make me feel more at ease on the highway.

I have a company truck which is leased to me and comes home daily, however on days when I have to be at my office for a meeting I'll generally ride a bike in (I'm five miles from my office/yard). We have basically no parking and the last time I drove my truck for an 'all hands meeting' one of our Apprentices accidentally backed into it while trying to cram into a spot behind me.

The last time we had a meeting I rode my KTM Duke. I parked it on the bottom of a Pallet Rack and locked it. My boss later told me he was walking through the yard looking for something, saw the bike and said "Yep, Kev's here!" LOL!

I was in a call last week and someone had asked me how long it took to get to work from the mountains where I live. I told them it depended on what I used to get to work. When I asked them if they had seen the little green bike parked outside the building, they were surprised I would ride something that small that far.

I have a 10-ish km ride to work. I take a hilly route to avoid slow traffic. Quite steep in one or two places.

Got a new job a few years ago 1.2 miles from home. Truck would get the worst mileage because it was still warming up by the time I got there. Decent mileage on the hwy but you'd think I was lying if I told you the MPG I was getting doing four 1.2 mile trips each day. (come home on my 1/2 hr lunch break). So the Trail is saving me LOTS of money for my short commute and puts a smile on my face every time.
My body is getting old and broken so I won't risk snow and ice, but I have insulated coveralls that are amazing in cold weather and are easy to put on.
Once our roads are covered with salt I put the Trail away, I don't mind dirt but I've seen so much rust after living here my whole life. I may not have many years left but if I do I don't want it to be a rust bucket.
This little bike continues to impress.

I commute about 22miles each way whenever I can weather wise. Just installed heated grips to extend the riding season.

It's mostly flat with 35-45 roads and a maybe 5 mile stretch of 55mph but it's pretty smooth most of the time. I ride when there's light traffic.

Sure enjoy it more than commuting in the car mostly, only when its raining or below 30 with snowing is when I'll pick the car.
