I remember you saying you live in the Orlando area and Quadjeeper was saying Winter Springs. How many miles are your houses away from the Historic Richloam Store? If we could get three of us together to explore up there one day in September, I think that would count as a mass meetup.. LOL. I am retired, so most any day works for me. The second photo in the slideshow shows a double track that leads directly SW from the store. Google maps shows it as Goat Road. It is a nice firm double track. I drove a quarter mile down it and got worried that I wouldn't be able to turn the van around, so when I got to a wide spot, I backtracked to the store, and then headed toward the fish hatchery on Richloam Clay Sink road.
I wonder if Goat Road to Napoleon Road/Trail 6 to School Bus road and back to Richloam Clay Sink Road. would make a nice starting loop? Then after riding that loop, we could continue SE on Richloam Sink Road toward the fish hatchery and so on, sampling other loops as we go. If that loop turns out to be impassible, we could backtrack to the Store and just go down Richloam Clay Sink Road I'd like to make a couple of casts at the Fish Hatchery pond where the benches are. It also might be a good spot to stop for a bag lunch.
I live about 55 miles from the Store. How many miles would it be to get from your places to the Store? I'm thinking 40 miles from Winter Garden to the store and 50+ from Orlando? I'm thinking a good starting time would be 10:00 AM at the Store. I also think the Store is more of a museum than a store, so you'd want to bring your lunch and drinks with you. 10:00 AM would give us all time to get there in daylight. What do you guys think, and do you have a preferable day of the week for a ride? I guess rain should also be a factor in choosing the day.. LOL
Anyone else with a Trail 125 interested in joining us for a ride in Richloam in September?
That is about 70 miles from my place. I think I'll wait till it gets a bit drier and cooler too before I consider that trip. Beautiful area out there though. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Looking at the list so far, in Central Florida we have:
FL352rider Clermont
mysticbus Daytona
Blacknsilver Apopka
interex87 Orlando
Quadjeeper Winter Springs
vintagegarage Crystal River

It's a long way from Daytona to Crystal River, Looks like there is some hope for Clermont/Apopka/Orlando/Winter Spring though. We still haven't heard from anyone in the Tampa area on this thread.

I definitely want to do it. I should be good the 28th i just go out of town on that Monday so need to get some things in order prior to that. If other folks cant do it i would probably prefer to do the ride pretty much any weekend after that. let me know! this will be a lot of fun

just watched the slide show good work. that ride looks really cool. did you do the water crossing at 1:25? also do you have the stock tires on your bike or did you change those out? curious how the stockies react on the hard packed dirt road. Also that fishing pond is really cool i bet you can have a blast there.

I did not do the water crossing at 1:25. I was just riding the route on the map in my Transit Connect van, and that water crossing is a side trail that wouldn't be suitable for a Honda Trail 125, as the bottom of the water is deep mud there. I think the side trail just after the photo of the store is more typical of the side trails. If we started out exploring a side trail, and it became impassible, then we would backtrack to the main trail and continue. The main trail is an easy ride for a Trail 125, a Grom, or a Monkey 125 on stock tires. All of my Trail 125s and Monkeys have stock tires, and I think they will do fine on the roads and trails in Richloam. My speed is old and slow, with no hurry to get to the end of the ride. I have more interest in exploring and seeing the scenery, and meeting other Trail 125 riders. I would plan to do a little bit of fishing at the lunch break at the Hatchery. If you come, I will bring along a new Grom rear rack that you can have if you want it. I bought the rack with plans to modify it to fit a Navi, before Honda announced an accessory rack for the Navi, and now don't need it. I never took it out of the box. See:

If we can't get four, then we'll move the date out a week or two to better fit your schedule. Have a look at this next video of a ride through Goethe State Forest. I am just posting it here to give you an idea of the type of trails and the pace I am expecting in Richloam.
and another one on my Monkey with a slightly different path:

So so far, we have two coming for the October 28 ride.

I am still hoping to get a confirming reply here from interex87, QuadJeeper, and Cameradean

Can anyone else commit to that date? Once we get four, I will try to reach out to the Tampa Grom Squad and the sister miniMoto group from in New Port Richey. There has to be a group in Orlando as well, but I don't know how to reach them. Once we have commitment to that date, I think the next step would be for someone to post a link to this topic on one of the Facebook Groups.
I'm in... Live in North Orlando area... Near Apopka. Likely, I will ride out to the trailhead... November weekends are good for me as well.

Although I've owned my CT for just a few days, and consider myself a real newbie, I may attempt the November ride.
