Put in Sex machine racing 60% stiffer springs. Wow that clutch cover is way more difficult to put back on when bike is on center stand. Found the Clutch bearing in the clutch plate is larger than Grom so you can’t use Hard Racing Billet clutch plate so I left stock on.

The time and effort to do this upgrade may not be worth the pain in taking all the parts off and messing with that clutch cover. Hardest part was lining up the clutch adjuster that comes through the case.

Found that a clutch conversion will be very difficult as the crank is different than Grom. I was hoping to be able to use my spare Grom motor for parts to use for conversion but since that crank shaft is larger the Grom oil spinner wont fit on.

Besides wanting to see what the results would be with shifting I put these on as a result of my Grom having 17,000 miles with these springs in since mile 100 on stock clutch basket.

thats interesting for sure. I was looking at the parts fiche and noticed a lot of the parts were different as I was planning on a manual clutch swap at some point, and haven't dived into it as of yet. and now, probably wont.

Yeah, im not interested in a motor swap. i did an very extensive & complex one on my grom already... one is enough or it will get out of control very quickly. :ROFLMAO: I plan on just using the trail as it is at this point, i've gotten used to the lack of a manual clutch. Oddly, my GF just bought a new supercub 2 days ago, and that's her biggest issue, reaching for the ghost lever. lol.
