My insurance went up $ 8.00 dollars to add the DR 200,liability only, $ 80 dollars full coverage on my 2022 KTM 390 ADV. Was initially about $ 80 dollars full coverage on the Honda 125 Trail 2021. That's $ 168 dollars for 3 bikes, full coverage on 2 of them. Don't expect to do everything on one bike,no matter how many mods. Just make room in your garage.

When I sold my 2017 Z900 and added a '21 Ural, my insurance dropped $400. When I added an '18 Goldwing, it went up $150. I just paid $971 for full coverage on two fairly expensive bikes. I know price of the bike doesn't have that much of an impact on insurance premiums but I don't imagine my insurance will change much when my Trail comes in.

I just added a KTM 390 Adventure myself two months ago. it's tough to gauge before renewal how much things really go up/down, since as the bikes age they get cheaper to insure. However, I just paid my full year renewal and overall my policy is down $40 since last year, and that is after adding the KTM. It now comes in at $279/year (pay in full amount) for:

2015 Tiger Explorer
2021 Honda Trail
2022 KTM 390 Adv
2022 CFMoto CForce 600 (comp only, no collision, full coverage on everything other bike)

Officially, the Trail is $69 on the policy and the KTM is $114. This is though Progressive. I have my trailers insured through them as well so there are various discounts scattered all over the place. Again, very hard to compare insurance apples-to-apples.

Also, all collision/comp is insured as "actual cash value," so I only get market amount vs opting for a complete replacement amount of some sort. That knocks the premium down a bit.

I have four road-legal bikes on my policy right now. I'll admit that I've not paid enough attention to how much up or down the amounts went when I added or deleted a bike but it makes sense that it would go down, as the more bikes you own the less likely you are to ride all of them regularly.

What I have noticed is that the more powerful bikes cost me more to insure (which again, makes sense). I'm paying $29/month for insurance on my KTM 990 Adventure. What surprised me is that I actually pay more to insure my Trail then I do my KTM Duke ($21/month for the Trail, $19/Month for the Duke). I find that curious since I would think the risk would be higher on my Duke then it would be on my Trail. The cheapest bike to insure in my stable is my 17 year old TW200 at $13/month!

This is with State Farm. I recently moved one of my auto policies to Progressive to see how I like them.

I think classification of the bike and typical owner has a lot to do with it (also which state you live in). When I first bought my Z900 (948cc I-4), my rate was $2000/yr. I only paid $6k for it and was paying 1/3 of its value in premiums the first couple years. Insurance is cheap on a Goldwing because the typical owner is more 'mature' even though it is a powerful bike. Probably why insurance on corvettes were relatively low when I owned them.

2 bikes (full coverage) 1 truck, 1 house = roughly $100 month (State Farm). I think adding the Trail bumped it up like $8 a month.

also has a lot to do with claims against a certain model. I use progressive, no one even comes close on mutiple vehicle policies. also have 2 vintage cars and my wife's car & bike on my policy, so technically, 15 bikes. lol. her premium part is like 1100 a year, but her buick (2019 tourx) isnt a cheap car to insure w the collision policy.

I'm doing ok on insurance, £70 for the 22 Cub and then £35 for each of the 23 CTs. £140 for fully comprehensive on 3 bikes is a win in my opinion, I think being in my mid 50s helps. My car insurance company quoted £475 just for the Cub, they did admit that they really didn't want the business as they rarely do bikes.
I'll be curious to see how much it costs for my partner to get insurance once she gets started.

lol. im selling a few actually,
OK, I get it. Strategy! You already are wanting to buy something, but there is the wife thing, obviously. Get rid of a couple that are the equal to about a third of what you keep riding at night ,when you should be sleeping. I am SLO, but I am figuring life out. Just a little later than most others.

Progressive $220 a year, for full coverage here in Kentucky with $500 deductible . Maybe It is high because I have not had a motorcycle license in 20 years. My driver’s license is clean, so no foul play on my part. Compared to the $1000 a year i was paying to insure my truck, this is an inexpensive and affordable policy. I think multiple vehicle policy and length of time with that company plays a huge part In policy pricing.

Your good credit has more to do with what kinda price you get,job you get or have, and whether you are a risk not worth having.

Probably not the wife issue but stable space Issue. It takes room for these steeds to be housed!

SLO, Is that right, well my good credit don’t seem to have played a part in my insurance policy premium. I think they see I have not owned a motorcycle in twenty years and see that as a possible risk. What risk is a bad credit vs stellar credit driver anyway? I don’t see the correlation.

There is a correlation where drivers/riders with lower credit scores are more likely to file claims. It's another variable for them to gauge how much of a liability you are to insure, same as years driving experience, vehicle, your sex, age, location, etc. Generalizations made on those criteria aren't always going to be true, but they're basing it on their data.

And data manipulation is how they acquired 78 per cent of the wealth and almost as much percent of land ownership in the U.S. A claim is not a loss, but a small percent of business expense.unless you hedge your bets in the political arena. Elect as many lawyers as you can that you have compromised. I am going for a ride,it is a nice day!
