I’ve got a CT 125 on deposit, than I come across the Honda ADV 150. Wondering if that will fit my riding style better. I like banging around the back roads at 35-45 mph, than being able to explore the dirt roads and trails off of them. At 70 I don’t do single track. A couple more pony’s would be nice for getting out of the way. I’ve had 19 Motorcycles in the last 54 years, 3 have been scooters. The scooters I kept the longest. Just a load of fun. I don’t know, I’m confused now. Just looking for feed back.
have you guys and gals seen the Postie bike adventures on you tube? Just put it in the you tube search and a whole bunch of episodes come up. Their all on 110’s, take place in Australia.

Postie I tried to post a link to an episode, but didn’t work. Sorry

here you go. They have regular Postie bike Rallys over there. Lots of good ideas.

Motorcycle Online did a great direct comparo between the two and it sounds like for your use, the scooter styled ADV150 might have the edge. The CT can be smooth once you get used to the shifting. I’ve had several Vespas and a few dirt bikes and feel that the CT is probably more suited to the 75/25 off: on road mix with lots of gravel that I’m using it for. Ultimately, the chain final drive, while more maintenance intensive, is more robust vs. dust & mud. The larger wheels are a hoot with knobbies, too.

So my dealer got in an ADV150, so i went down to see it and sit on it etc. very nice but i decided to stick with the CT125. He also told me that he got notified that it was due in on October 30th. He also got in a new Super Cub. So i got to view that also. Man they did a nice job on it. I wonder if i could talk the wife into it. She had a green CB 200 back in the day.

Just my own philosophy. Two wheels are typically not a practical decision so do what makes you smile. Trail is not an ideal bike for what I am using it for but it sure makes me smile looking and riding it.

This is wisdom. The smart-ass in my says, ‘just buy both.’ A big part of why I am getting rid of the Harley is that I don’t really enjoy riding it, and it isn’t really a bike you can just throw a leg over and go.

the garage is full of wants, not needs. That being said... different tools for different jobs. Some people have 1 screwdriver, some have a rack of them.
