I have two 125's on the list at Western also since September, they keep putting the date out later, I've heard from other dealers that they're not expecting any until April
Yeah, you should probably pull off the list at western and get your two somewhere else. ;)

Congrats! Careful, somebody else might walk in and offer them $2K over MSRP for it. ;)
So true. The day I wired the money to pay for mine a lady came in and offered more than what I paid for it. Glad the dealer politely declined. I need that bike to get loaded on the shipper's truck ASAP before anyone gets any ideas.

I'm amazed that a company with as much manufacturing and marketing resources as Honda hasn't made more of these bikes. My local dealer has 16 SuperCubs for $2999 and only one Trail 125 that he won't sell.

Why won’t he sell it?

According to the sales guy, the owner just wants to keep it. Maybe to have a first year one on hand as a collectible.

One of the local Ride Now's was trying to sell a used Super Cub for $3200. I go out of state to buy my bikes. Those guys suck.

I live in southern Illinois, near St. Louis, Missouri. I called every dealer within 100 miles when I first heard about the CT 125 hitting the market. Everyone had waiting lists and only one would even let me add my name. I put money down in early December and have been waiting impatiently. I called around again last Friday and found one available. I picked it up Monday and told the first dealer they could notify the next guy in line of the good news. I feel lucky.

They did that with the CB1100. then they didn't sell a bunch of them, and they sat in warehouses for 4 years. That's how i got my brand new 2014 with zero miles for 6400 OTD. Honda made the dealers take them and sell them at that price. They were too high at 12k anyway. Niche bikes , honda has been burned on them before. GB500 comes to mind as well.

My Experience\Observations....

I've been pondering getting a motorcycle for a while now and it wasn't until I saw the Super Cub that I really started to think about it. Then I saw the Trial and the "I must have you" switch went off. Being a complete noob, I started calling dealers back in October of 2020. The "Power dealers" in my area all were saying first come first serve and with C-19 they had no idea when and how many they would get. I eventually found another dealer that I was 1st in line and put down a deposit and waited. I only got my bike two weeks ago and know that the other Power Dealers had gotten and sold several as I called a few times just to see if I got lucky.

I think we need to keep in mind that in other markets these bikes are tools or a primary mode of transportation. In our market these are luxury items so its not surprising that they trickle in to the States. Considering that we had no problem finding several Super Cubs for my wife I think that in a few years the Trails won't such a short supply. However enthusiastic we are about the Trail its still a pretty niche market.

I was told that dealers would get only one bike in the first wave, but I'm hearing of some dealers getting two.
Hi,
Naults HONDA in NH is supposed to get many
Trail 125s but NONE have arrived as of 22 April 2021.
I'm 5th in line, so I am thinking I need to wait untill 2022 maybe...
