Hello all,
seen the little black protective trim on a lot of bikes in Japan but none here in the USA. Wondering if anyone know where to buy this factory piece. Not looking for aftermarket that is bigger or has writing on it. Thanks.

It is OEM part number 18350K2EJ00, I bought one by requesting a quote for it from Webike:

Honda Official Licensed Products COVER COMP MUFFLER[18350K2EJ00] x 1 pcs
HONDA OEM PARTS
Item number[18350K2EJ00]
price (without tax) ¥10,945 * 1 = ¥10,945

What is included in the part is the whole upper exhaust shield, the aluminum and the black plastic piece on it which has little plastic nubs that go through the holes in the aluminum and do not appear to be removable without damage. You will need to re-use the bolts and rubber grommets from the shield you are removing and transfer them over to it, or buy them. Parts image here: https://www.bike-parts-honda.pl/hon...5AL/Frame/EXHAUST-MUFFLER/103620/F_27/2/41272

Here are some photos from when I installed it on mine.

Also for reference, here it is a scratched up a bit after the bike blew over on the exhaust side:

Thank you for your post. I've decided to get one too and have just ordered it on the strength of your report and quality of images - Nice One!

I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Received quote back. They said it is unavailable through them. Ugh!

I can understand that. The part is not recognised on a normal search. If you ask for a quotation for that part you should receive a reply pretty quickly (under an hour for me).

The response was confusing to say the least... In one part it said the part did not exist. In another part it said they had no stock... another part gave me the option to order it. I ordered it and agreed to a shipping time with EMS of just a few days. Once paid, I got an e-mail confirming the purchase, identifying the item and the it would be shipped imminently...

I've not had this confusion with webike in the past, but its all seems to be on track with the shipment at the moment... Worth considering an order at the moment as there are deals on the shipping costs...

I'll post it when I have an update on delivery etc

My successful quote from them a while back was Quotation ID: GL210927D2552 if you're able to reference it and ask for the same, and of course double check it.
