Where did you get the fender lift from?
Did you have to relocate the horn or was there clearance?
Seems the factory should have done that from the get-go.

I raised my fender but haven't decided on which tires I want. I thought I was going to get 2.75 but after reading this maybe 3.00

They do not make a 2.75-17 SR244. The options are 2.50-17 and 3.00-17. I even reached out to them and asked if they planed on making the 244 in 2.75-17. They said no. They suggested going with a 2.50-17 front or just getting the SR241's in the proper size.

Yep, sorry, 241's are the 2.75x17's

This came up in the tires megathread - @G19Tony, you've probably run these enough to have a well valued opinion on it. Would you change your assessment about the Shinko 244 3.0-17's on the front wheel after a year of riding?

I still like them. I admit, I'm not that in tune with the machine. As long as I keep rolling, I'm ok. They don't bother me on the pavement, and I like the way they look on the bike.

Update for those considering the 3" shinko 244: Mine rubbed my fender so I took the fender off. Now even riding with the fender off, something is weird. I feel resistance when I let off the throttle. Unsure if this is from just the weight of the larger tire/tread, but it's definitely not great. I am now considering taking these off and eating the $300 I wasted on the tires/labor 😫. Will probably put the Kenda k262 2.75"s on. Maybe worth getting an extra set of wheels and just using the fatties for dirt. I don't even know anymore, man. 😂 This is what I get for modding a brand new bike beyond factory equipment.

You can sell the lightly used tires and recoup some of that cost, drop it in the for sale section. I wouldn't buy new wheels to swap out unless you're planning to race and need to do fast swaps - if you're racing a CT125, shit, I wanna know details lol. The wise money is investing in a quality tire changing experience, so you won't keep paying for the labor on tires in the future if you decide the k262's aren't doing it for you either.

I think it's really weird that you're having these bad experiences when most people are pretty happy with the 244's. I think you are potentially going in the right direction with the idea of swapping tires and seeing what happens after that. It's so hard to say what it could potentially be on the internet because we're using words and pictures to describe something that's an experience or a feeling, but if I was weirded out, I'd probably get some windex/dish soap, break the bead, re-seat the bead, maybe balance the wheel and then see if it felt any better. That's like $5 to try and fail before doing the expensive thing.
