I was driving the other day and recalled a post from MC in SC. I believe he stated back in November post to add 20 mv to O2 sensor return to acheive the desired AFR. Out of the blue it dawned on me. Just swap out the O2 sensor. It is a thermistor. What is the supply voltage to it, and what is the return on a stock bike. If it has a 5 volt supply, find a O2 sensor with 250 ohms less resistance than the stock one? I am SLO but it functions every so many rotations ,for an instant at most. I have to stop and ask often ( sorry to bother you, but where am I going ? ) Whatever the supply is ,even if it were varied, it would be directly proportional to the variance in temp. E=IXR

OK, so one would need to reduce the resistance back to the ECU a fixed amount based on the input to the O 2 sensor. A heat gun, electronic thermometer(A/C tool for line temp check)and an ohm meter to determine what the value changes as temp changes on the sensor. A variable resistor in line with return from the sensor is what I presume is what I purchased and sent back. If the value of the resistance is determined by this method I bet I could find one on a shelf somewhere, in stock at a refrigeration supply house ,that are used in refrigeration controls. I do not need to do anything to mine as it does all I need with the 143cc big bore and cam. The 150 cc injector seems to be enough to keep it cool.

Put over 700 miles since bbk/install. Performance still improving. I put the Honda 150 injector in with install. I am pretty sure that I over gapped the rings by a few thousandths, which probably was a good thing. I was able to maintain 45 mph uphill from Chilhowie Va. to Konnarrock Va.in 3rd gear from dead stop /starting point on route 600? uphill/mountain, 200lbs approx myself and gear. Can hit 55mph plus easily on rolling hills / flat ground , and back offf throtlle on flat ground ,as it will go faster ( 60 mph } I am running 13 tooth sprocket in front, but realize I need to use a different oil. Yuminashi recommends 20w-50 synthetic,as I have ,but will use JASO 4T. Castrol will be ok,not Mobile 1 V twin .

Great info. Do you have an estimated fuel economy? I know it is probably difficult to calculate since you are geared lower than stock, but your tires are larger diameter than stock also.

I am guessing around 100 mph. In mountains, better than it was stock. It is a motorcycle now!

@SLO for what it’s worth, I installed the EFIE along with the 143. So you’re still the only one on here with no fuel mod (besides larger injector). Next time you get a chance, could you pull your plug and take a picture?

It was black. It has been running rich since injector install, before bbk. I have checked valves, and ran the crankcase breather into a fuel filter in front of seat under plastic housing, not back into air box. No sign of blow-by I did put a KN type filter in,and unhooked snorkel where it goes into the filter box. Either the injector was different than ordered,or mislabeled I think it started when air filter change, injector install, snorkel pulled aside. I have plenty of power, and I am running a 13 tooth in front. Maybe that is causing it. It only smokes a little on startup/rich mixture not hot yet?

Could be the 13 tooth front sprocket? I did put a much less restrictive exhaust all the way to head, and some how the baffle got removed? as well as some of the guts to the muffler. It purrs, until you open the throttle. I think it dumps more fuel than it needs to when that happens, since increased speed can be obtained without making the noise. When I figure out how to post videos I will. If someone close by/forum member can do so ,I will demo bike for them, perhaps they can post it. I have over 800 miles on bbk. Definitely not running lean or too hot.

The only other thing I can think of right now, is I did hook up battery WRONG when messing with it early on soon after I got it. Turned key on,heard noise that indicated my mistake, and turned key off within seconds. Was pretty certain that I probably fried the ECU. Abnormal clicking sound. Seems not to have damaged it,that was thousands of miles ago. ??????????

I put a little Marvel Mystery oil in the first couple tanks of gas after BBK install.. Not since. It will show as a pink or orange residue, not non combusted fuel. I did unintentionally gap both top rings over by 3=4 thousandths. Not knowing if screwed up or not,I decided to set ring gaps 180 apart when I put them in. Does not smoke when running, and has become fun as shit to ride. Faster than cars go on the roads I ride on. Go SLO around blind spots, pick time of day/day of week. Gotta get some new deer whistles for it. Almost got taken out by a groundhog day before yesterday. Got a new plug, will put in/ride/take out. #6 NGK
