Gas tank sealing

Has anyone sealed their gas tank? Being a metal tank I assume they rust like every other metal tank. I pulled the cap, shined my flashlight, and looked in I mine last night. The fuel had the slight color I associate with a reflection off a tiny bit of rust. I figure pulling and sealing the tank will be something I can put off until winter. But if Honda is already applying a good coating of some sort then maybe I don’t need to.

Hard to believe it’s rusting already. Not calling you a liar at all btw. But if you ever do red kote is excellent.

Not needed, but couldn't hurt unless the liner you put in it doesn't stick to the Zinc, then you got some issues. Just sayin.

if for some reason you still want to do this, caswell is hands down the best way to go, but i would -strongly- recommend against sealing the fuel tank at this point. (and they will stick to zinc plating, just follow the directions) also, if you have never sealed a tank before, in particular an efi tank, get help.

I have lined well over 20 fuel tanks in my life, so I'm not opposed to it (hell we are doing a 73 yamaha tank this weekend) but only when nec should it be done. .02
