I mounted my 58L Givi Trekker Outback case today. I love this box for a number of reasons and decided to mount it up. The mounting location I chose was on purpose, while I know it's rather rearward I wanted the front of the rack available to strap dry bags or other items.

In order to make this possible, I ordered an M8 base plate and redneck engineered and manufactured my way to a solution. I got it all fabbed up today and will disassemble, paint, and lock-tite and reassemble everything tomorrow.

I took some video footage and will put together a video soon.

"Guys, the 58L wasn't cutting it. I fit this 68 cu m shipping container on to the back of the CT125. The rear suspension compresses a little, but it fit like a charm, only slightly wider than the rear rack. Looks and feels good, next step will be to add a SAE power supply so I can jump start the 17L Cummin engines they use at work."

Jokes aside, you are right - the box is both big, but not nearly as big as I thought it would be. I was eying off the Motolordd Rear Luggage Box which is 43x43x47 cm. The givi 58L is 555mm W x 323mm H x 454mm; if you represent these as cubes, then the MotolordD box is 87L vs the Givi 58L which is 81L by exterior dimensions. The Givi is almost certainly much more sturdy though, that MotolordD box at least in appearance seems like it's just some stamped metal with hopes and dreams giving it structural integrity.

You've got a Givi 58L (13.22 lb) plus the Givi M8 base plate (2.24 lbs), which is also not as much weight as I thought it would add for something that you can really put your trust in.

Looks like a great setup. Definitely going to follow that lead. FYI, ordered my 58L Trekker for a great price from Motocard so check it out.

For now running the old Givi 47L

What do you guys think about some of my new Farkles? Barkbusters, Takegawa Seat cover, ATV Tank panniers.......the sickness continues!
