Grab Bar Cushion

I was tired of my tailbone hitting the grab bar in back of the seat. I’m not tall but the seat even for me is very far forward. I always find myself hanging over the back. A very simple and inexpensive solution was to cut a piece of thick pipe insulation to length and just attach it to the bar. No more sore behind and I’m safe if I hit a big pothole.image.jpgimage.jpg

I am not sure a plumber friend gave it to me. I would say get the thickest one you can. I will ask and get back to you

Nice fix! I was having the same issue with the grab bar. I was also finding the seat position a little low and uncomfortable for me, so I wanted to raise the seat a bit. I raised the height and put some cushion on the bar with one of these air seats. It's nice to be able raise or lower the air pressure on the fly. I put on just shy of 100 miles last weekend and it was super comfortable!

I ordered a used one. I'll give it a try on my CB300R. I still like the Airhawk, but it's good to test different things.

Nice, I did something similar to bar on rear axle. In front of rear Tire. I cut a piece of plastic washer machine drain hose. made slice down middle snapped around metal .I have been thinking to under coat rubberize front fender.

A-to-the-men. Well played. Thought about it. Now I'm inspired 😭
