Squeeze it into the tube, and ride slowly back to town to change the tube without staining the rim.
Maybe an emergency backup?

I think that'd only really be helpful if you had it on hand, but it wouldn't be my first choice for something to carry in the moment. If I got a puncture, had literally no other options and a farmer just happened to have it... sure! It beats walking. I've heard of people shoving spinifex into their tires to make it back. It just might incur a cost later to get it out of there but it's nothing a sawzall can't solve.

There are options for inner tubes that would work better aligned more with prevention though. Like there's Stans slime or equivalent for starters, the guy at the dirt bike shop gave me some when I was on the CDT. This being a lower speed bike, you can get away with more generic products and a lack of balancing, but you will still notice it if you're doing more than limping back at speeds under 25 mph.

Any port in a storm I guess. I knew a guy that filled an off-road farm trailer tire with sawdust chips and sealed the flap back with self tapping screws and a piece of rubber. We all have stories I’m sure!
