Makes sense, I've thought about running it multiple times myself. Unfortunately, rider + accessories + cargo in my case exceeds the load limit of those tires.

I’m about 160lbs. and my gear won’t go real heavy. I was going to ask you if that was a bad idea running 2.5 on the rear. I figured it is oem size and should be good.

If you never have anything on the back and you're the weight of a small, fit Japanese grandpa, then 2.5's would be plenty for what you want to do. If you're really unsure, the load limit is 291 lbs, and many bathroom scales go up to 300 lbs, so you can physically roll the rear tire onto the scales and see if they say you're too heavy. I'm regularly hauling 30 lbs of gear and I wear heavy, XXL sized waterproof and cold weather gear.

Just saw a post on FB that Honda of Rarden OH has a 2023 in stock I'm case anyone's looking within striking distance. Good small dealer in Southern Ohio.

The OEM tires are closer to 3.0 (80/90-17), though tire measurements are all over the place. With the Shinko SR244s having a more agressive trail tread, expect that those knobs add some visual height and width to the tire while having a smaller carcass size.

Got the call yesterday evening, it's in! Gonna go collect it with a friend shortly, riding it back to Milwaukee via backroads. Gonna keep off full throttle so as to not hurt the engine during break in. They gave me the VIN so I already have insurance on it. Very excited!

One left in Danville, Ky. $4250 plus 6% state tax, that’s it. At that price I had to get one. Next Saturday I pick up. Dealer called yesterday, 244s mounted and ready for dirt. Trucking it home so the break in can be done as recommended.

Thats where I bought my 22. I was impressed with every aspect of how they handled the sale. Only 25 miles from me, I should sneak over and look at your tires lol

If I had a truck sooner than Saturday, I would go get it. I got a 300 Honda 4x4 from that dealer about 40 years ago. They been putting smiles on faces for decades. You sneak in there, get me a pic!

Finally picked up my Trail yesterday, took my first road trip ever back home with it. Went great, grabbed my friend’s Livewire once we got back to the city. Easy to have stoplight conversation on these bikes!

Also got the front rack installed once I was back home, pretty easy. Was told by the dealer that this was one of two they are getting for the YEAR. Out the door was just over $4,800 for me.

71 miles in total, woohoo!
