I've been following the news (and also this forum) and hoping for for Honda to bring the trail to Europe with no luck.
Earlier this year I was looking for used trails for sale in the US and dreaming about buying one and shipping it to Finland.
It makes no sense money wise to buy one from the US, pay for shipping, taxes and registration but since the bike has US approvals it's easy to register in Finland without any trouble, whereas one imported from Asia would be a pain in the a... if possible at all. (From Japan it's also possible with some modifications)
I bought a used '21 trail with 45 miles on the odometer in May when my wife finally told me to just go for it. Since then I've been waiting anxiously for it to arrive to Finland from California.
I received the bike on Thursday but sadly I had a trip coming up and can't get to work on it and all the accessories (2 full big boxes from Thailand) before Monday.
My wife has a 2023 Honda Dax and we're planning to go on a European tour in a few weeks. I'll try and post updates about the bike and our trip here as we go on.
A little about us:
I'm 32 and my wife is 27. She has a Rebel 500 and the Dax but I gave up my 1100 Africa twin just to get the Trail, someone would call me crazy but I've always loved "special" bikes. I also have a 1982 Honda Motocompo.
