Welcome. That certainly sounds like it will be an adventure!
If you aren't already familiar with Nathan "The Postman" Millward you might be interested to look him up. He rode across Australia (and more) on a CT110 and wrote a book about the journey, "The Long Ride Home: From Sydney to London".

G'day from WA. The other WA, Washington :). Which part of Australia do you live in @Dons Ruby? We've got another Aussie that lives on the southern coastal tip of NSW on the forum somewhere.

I've been to QLD multiple times but never actually made it to the Gold Coast, only ever headed north. Other side of the country to my rellies, although I do have some aunts and uncles that live in Tin Can Bay, and an ex gf in Caboolture, and have dived the reef out near Trinity Beach. Given all the aunts and uncles we have living out there, great place to live especially if you're sensitive to the cold. Feels like the only downside is a bit of flooding every now and then.

You're not that far away from a company recommended to be the new maker of postie bike bags (now that the original maker no longer does it as Auspost switched over to their new fleet), a company called Naz Bags. I asked a year ago about making some postie bags for the CT, but they needed some exact dimensions and I didn't know enough details. They're based out of Leichardt, could be a reasonable option for your trip.

Mostly just exploring the local trails. Couple of bigger camping trips ~6-700km round trips.

When you’re going between Sydney and Melbourne you won’t want to miss this bit of coast. Pop in. I’ll come ride a few days with you.
