High Altitude Mods?

Hey guys, forgive what I know sounds like a dumb question on a FI engine but when I owned my '15 Grom I remember there was something you had to do in order for the engine to run properly over 5,000' ASL. You had to short-out two pins out on the DLC connector then blip the throttle a couple of times (or something like that). The one time I rode my Grom at ~6,000' doing all that did seem to make a difference. My question is, does the Trail need this same sort of adjustment or is it's FI 'smart' enough to figure-out that it's now running at a higher-altitude?

I have a ride coming-up in a couple of weeks where I'll be riding at 6,000'-7,000' elevation and just want to be prepared. Thanks!

The Trail does not have that same altitude adjustment option.

My CT125 is mostly ridden fluctuating between 5,000'-10,000' elevation and does alright with the elevation changes. Of course there is the expected power loss the higher you go due to thinner air.
If it's ever not happy you could try restarting the bike at the new elevation, or reset the ECU to prompt it to adjust. I've never felt the need to do that on this bike, but have on others.
To get the best performance out of the bike at elevation you could do some prep work and make sure your spark plug is in good shape and air filter is clean before heading up to elevation, then recheck tire pressure once you're at elevation.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm expecting a power loss (I took my Grom to the same place a few years ago and it was very noticeably down on power) so I'm curious to see how the Trail does. It's good to know I don't have to mess with anything to 'tell' it that it's now at elevation.
