When you had the clutch out did you check the detent arm? It might be damaged.

R u talking bout the shifting arm right..I mean I glazed at it but I didn't inspect it though.i was thinking bout spliting the case an check out the transmission.cause I know that it's shifting into gears but it's like the main gear that turns the clutch isn't engaging or something maybe but when I take it apart again I will look at that arm an see what kinda shape it in

Honda call it the shift drum stopper arm, if it's damaged the bike can slip out of gear or not move into gear. Is the issue just first gear, or all gears? With the engine off if you put it in first gear and try to turn the rear wheel is there resistance, or does it freewheel same as in neutral? Did you have the bike working before, any metal in the oil?

No metal in oil .an no I didn't not having going or riding when I got it had to get it running when I got it back together I noticed that it wouldñt take off when I shift it into gear it's like it's in neutral that's when I got on utube an watched videos on clutches so it was kinda cheap so I went ahead an got new one just to figure out it's still doing the same but with the back tire off ground there is resistance in it
