Just signed up and would like to join the crew. I am excited ans have been binge watching videos but wondering are there UK dealers? Who is Sharon? Is it rude to ask how much cost each of you gents and ladies?
I am not well acquainted with the bike world and lots of things of the forum go over my head, in fact i dont know what a spark plug does yet!
Yours,
Mezza
Evening Mezza,
Sadly there are currently no official UK dealers as Honda don't bring this model into Europe and still don't have plans to do so. A company called
Seven Seas Motors were importing them directly from Thailand but have now stopped and are concentrating on their core business. Sharon works at 7Cs and is very helpful and totally lovely.
I believe someone on the Isle of Wight is importing some but you have to sort out your own sva and registration, not the easiest of tasks but not impossible. either.
Other sources of information and potentially bikes themselves are the FB groups...
Honda CT125 uk owners
Honda Super Cub C125 CT125 UK
Small Bikes Big Adventures
These will give you more UK information.
One thing to be very aware of because of the scarcity and demand for these little bikes the scammers are about. Triple check anyone offering bikes for sale and remember if it's too go to be true then it probably is.
When it comes down to buying a Hunter Cub don't expect to see change from £5000.00 but that should be on the road, certified for the UK, taxed and registered.
In the region of £4000.00 will get you a bike but like I said the paperwork will all be down to you.
I paid £5k a piece for mine before delivery. I think it was worth every penny as they are a lot of fun.
You could go to Honda and spend a lot less though for one of their other 125 mini motors, Monkey, Grom or a Cub. It really comes down to how badly you want one and how much you're prepared to pay.
I love my Hunter Cub but I also love my Super Cub and they compliment each other beautifully.
On a final note, welcome to the forum and i hope that you are able to find what you want. Try and try as many different types of motorcycle as you can if you're new to the game.
P.S. A spark plug is a small ceramic and metal device that is part of the ignition system, it provides the spark which ignites the fuel air mix that results in a lot of us having large stupid grins on our faces when the throttle grip is twisted.
P.P.S sorry for the overly long reply.
